WhatsApp, QR Codes and Instant Messaging have changed how we communicate in business today!
Not sure if it is the age nearly 50 but I am finding it so much more of a struggle to lose excess weight. Recently I have received many adverts for a miracle coffee, well this is a win/win I want to lose weight and I love my coffee. What I have noticed the adverts have one thing in common they give you their number and ask you to send them a message on WhatsApp. Now the frustration I have is I have to add the number to my contacts to send a WhatsApp, this stops me from responding to the ad.
How much potential business are you losing because you don't make it easy for your customers to contact you?
WhatsApp, QR codes and instant messaging have become tools of choice for a lot of customers. in our sales training we teach how important it is to make it easy for customers to engage with us. Facebook has added an option for you to add a WhatsApp button on your post, this makes it easier for your customer to click the button and it takes them to WhatsApp, no need to add details into contacts. Have you noticed more and more websites have an button for WhatsApp as well?
How has WhatsApp and instant messaging made business easier?
- Customers are busy these tools make it easy to communicate.
- Customers expect answers and information quickly.
- These tools are less invasive then a phone call.
- Businesses can now set up catalogues and information on WhatsApp business.
QR Codes change how we create links
When we think of QR codes we think of Zapper or Snapscan. QR codes are now being used to create links to products on your website or to the website.
I noticed that more and more people wanted to move away from printed business cards. It is a waste of printing costs and they get thrown away or if you change your information you now have business cards you can't use. Using the QR code your customers can quickly scan the QR code and download your business card making it so easy to store your information.
The way we do business has changed and especially in the past year, embrace the change and investigate how you can add these tools in making communication easier with your potential customers.
